Jean Ann (Mickley) Weaver, 91, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 6:54 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Marion General Hospital.
Jean Ann was born in Huntington on July 26, 1927, to the late Russell and Ruth (Fair) Mickley. She graduated from Huntington High School and married Melburne George Weaver on April 28, 1945. They had just celebrated 73 years of marriage! Jean Ann was a Gold Star mother and a devoted wife and homemaker. She not only had a passion for her family, but she also enjoyed knitting, flowers, and gardening. She loved sitting on her porch and watching her birds. She was a member of Grant County Home Ec Extension Club, Mount Olive United Methodist Church, and LaFontaine Eastern Star. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother.
She will be missed by her loving husband, Melburne, Marion; children, Jerry R. (Nancy) Weaver, David M. (MaryAnn) Weaver, Dennis J. (Susan) Weaver, Melburne Gene Weaver, and Barbara J. (Toy) Weaver; son-in-law, Nick Combs; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Russell and Ruth (Fair) Mickley, and children, Terry Lee Weaver, Patricia Jane (Weaver) Combs, Debra Sue Weaver, and Tamara R. (Miller) Weaver.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Jean Ann’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor Terry Bishir will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory.
