Jasmone Amil Diaz, 36, of West Lafayette, passed away at 3:11 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born in Kokomo on Wednesday, January 2, 1985, to Angel L. Diaz, Sr. and Rosetta L. (Fields) Diaz.
Jasmone graduated from McCutcheon High School and attended Vincennes University. He also received his barber’s license and was a certified welder. He worked in production at the Subaru Plant in Lafayette. Jasmone enjoyed singing, making music, and playing basketball. He was an avid Pacers and Colts fan. He will be remembered as a happy, outgoing, and caring young man who had many friends.
Survivors include his father, Angel L. Diaz of Greenwood; mother, Rosetta L. Diaz of West Lafayette; son, Jasad Diaz; daughters, Tahlia Diaz and Tehnia Diaz; brothers, Angel L. Diaz, Jr. and Antonio L. (Breanna) Diaz; special niece, Zoie Diaz; plus numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juan (Luz M. Diaz) Sanchez and George (Ruby L.) Fields.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12 noon on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Jasmone’s life will begin at 12 noon. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity in Marion.
