Janet Lambert, 71, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:15 pm, Thursday, December 9, 2021, at her home. She was born on April 12, 1950, in Pie, West Virginia, to George Jr. and Wilda (Varney) Fields.
Janet married Michael E. Lambert in Wabash on August 10, 1990; he died June 9, 2004. She enjoyed raising flowers and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Michael “Mick” (Angie) White and Matthew White; eight grandchildren, Tyler Garrard, Peyton Sluss, Madison White, Ethyn Sluss, Jacob White, Leah Sluss, Noah White, and Bryce White; two great-grandchildren, Iris Garrard and Klayton Sluss, all of Wabash, and two sisters, Reva (Floyd) Johnson of Silver Lake, Indiana, and Jackie (Jim) Sleighter of North Manchester, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, George and Jerry Fields.
Graveside services and burial will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
Preferred memorial is Wabash Little League.
