Janet Kay Maurer, 75, of Plymouth, Indiana, died at 5:00 am, Friday, May 22, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor in Plymouth. She was born March 8, 1945 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Charles and Bernice (Montel) Fisher.
Janet was a 1963 graduate of Syracuse High School. She worked as a nurses aide for several nursing homes. She enjoyed reading, growing flowers, working word searches, and watching the birds.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Young of Bremen, Indiana, and Teresa (Jack) Beck of Nappanee, Indiana, three granddaughters, Kimberly (Shawn) Bicek of Elkhart, Indiana, Rebecca Young of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Amber Beck of Nappanee, three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Bicek of Colorado, Aubree Bicek and Cooper Bicek, both of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Becky Mock.
Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at South Whitley Cemetery,South Whitley, Indiana with Jason Rohde officiating. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, North Manchester.
