James “Jim” F. Marshall, 74 of Huntington passed away at 4:20 pm on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Oakbrook Village Nursing Center. Jim was a 1960 graduate of Liberty Center High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1959 – 1962. Jim worked as a machinist at Dana Corporation; he retired in March of 1996 after 34 years. He was a member of the VFW Post #2689, American Legion Life Member and Moose Lodge #837. He enjoyed the comradery of his fellow veterans and friends.

Jim was born on January 1, 1942 in Portland, Indiana, the son of Issac and Beulah (Carroll) Marshall.

He was united in marriage to Kathy Sue Russo in March of 1986 in Knoxville, TN. She preceded him in death on December 7, 1990.

Survivors include four sons: Jeff (Melinda A.) Marshall of Andrews; Michael (Kelly) Marshall of Huntsville, AL; Tracy (Cara) Marshall of Roanoke; Terry Marshall of Madison, AL and a daughter; Melinda S. (Troy) Rethlake of Huntington; a brother: Don (Del) Marshall of Markle; a sister: Roberta Myers of Elwood, IN; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Rosemary Cole and a brother: Dewayne George Marshall.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm with military honors conducted by VFW Post #2689 following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Interment will take place at a later date at Markle Cemetery.
