Jacqulin A. Mauk

Jacqulin A. Mauk, age 93, of Ft. Wayne passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Park Place Senior Living in Ft. Wayne.

Jacqulin was born on July 23, 1927 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  She was the daughter of the late Chester and Audrey (Diehl) Russell.  She married Ray G. Mauk on September 4, 1948, and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1983.

Jacqulin worked at the Marion Public Library in the Genealogy Department.  She was a member of the First Friends Church in Marion; the DAR (Daughters of American Revolution); the Women’s Department Club; and the Pre-School Mothers Study Club.  She was also librarian at the church and served on its Missions Committee.   She was also a member of the Marion General Hospital Auxiliary where she had volunteered for many years beginning in the late 80’s until 2012.

Jacqulin enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and helping organize class reunions.  She loved movies, reading, riding her bike, playing bridge and bowling.

Jacqulin is survived by a daughter, Laurie (Doug) Steinbrunner of Ft. Wayne; sons, Brett (Patrice) Mauk of Ft. Wayne and Chris (Sarah) Mauk of Fishers; sister, Harriett Carmichael of Marion; daughter-in-law, Pam Mauk of Cumming, Georgia; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters; and dear lifelong friend, Joanne Wade.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeff Mauk in 2007.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Key officiating.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, face masks are required for those in attendance.  It is also suggested to practice social distancing.

Burial will immediately follow funeral services at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion (Huntington, County), Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Friends Church Missions Committee, 2211 N. Wabash Road, Marion, Indiana 46952; or to the Marion General Hospital Auxiliary, 441 N. Wabash Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46952.
