MIAMI COUNTY, IN- On Friday, November 2nd at 1pm the Indiana State Police Peru Post will be conducting a dedication ceremony for the unveiling of signage for the Trooper Robert Lather Memorial Mile on US 31 from the 174 mile marker to the 175 mile marker. Trooper Robert J. Lather II died July 6th, 1982, in an automobile crash on US 31 in Miami County. Trooper Lather was the 28th Indiana State Police officer to die in the line of duty.
