INDIANAPOLIS,Indiana – The Indiana State Police have announced the formation of a statewide youth education program known as the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Initiative.  The Initiative is designed to reduce cyber victimization of youth between the ages of 8 and 18.  Funding for the program comes from a grant to the Indiana State Police from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.  ISP has three specially trained ICAC Youth Educators who will travel to all 92 counties in the state with the goal of presenting 300 training programs in 2016 at no charge to schools, youth organizations and other youth groups.

Each Youth Educator will work within the structure of the Indiana ICAC Task Force with presentations specifically designed for large or small groups of children from 8-18 in sessions that can last from less than an hour to a full day.  They work to inform children so they do not become victims of everything sexual exploitations to bullying to on line radicalization by terrorist and criminal extremists.  For more information email:  ICACYouthEd@isp.in.gov.
