Ida Elizabeth Pence, 80, Marion, passed away at 9:30 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in her home. She was born in Wallingford, Kentucky, on Monday, December 8, 1941, to Cleveland and Ola (Richmond) Vice. On October 14, 1985, she married Reggie E. Pence, and he survives.
Ida graduated from Oak Hill High School. She was an operator for the past 23 years with Huhtamaki, retiring on January 17, 2022. Ida loved her family. She was a hard worker and was a very kind soul.
In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her children, Michelle (Bill) Hogge of LaFontaine, Anthony Dean Brooks of Marion, Giena Wilson of Marion, Michael Pence of Marion, Elizabeth (Todd) Cabra of Fort Worth, TX, and Carrie Lynn (Larry) Amos of Albany; grandchildren, McKayla (Jake) Bunnell, Brandi Pence, Jacob Cabra, Paige Cabra, Morgan Cabra, Jason Johnson, Tryston Johnson, and Brandon Amos; six great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Vice of Marion; and sister, Tami Vice of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland M. Vice; mother, Ola L. Vice; and her brothers, Robert Vice and John Vice.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Ida’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Susan Shambaugh officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
