Honeywell Foundation’s Grand Prize Contest Results with First-Place Tie

WABASH, Ind. – The Honeywell Foundation’s “75 Days of Gratitude” ended with a bang on Mon., Dec. 26th when the final results of the grand prize competition were revealed. Unexpectedly, two people were announced as the grand-prize winners; Jen Huber and Eric Seaman, each winning two tickets to every Ford Theater show during 2017.

Both Huber and Seaman submitted an essay of 500-800 words about how The Honeywell Foundation impacted, improved, or made an impression on his or her life.

Topics from which they could choose included: a memorable experiences at one of the Foundation’s venues; uncovering new hobbies or talents through the Arts-in-Education programs; making new friendships and finding fulfillment through donor, sponsorship or volunteer opportunities; experiences serving the needs of the community through partnership with the Foundation. All entries were submitted anonymously to the Honeywell Foundation’s panel of judges.

Three other individuals were named runners up in the competition, namely Scott Buehrer, Lisa Flack, and Richard Tucker. Each runner up received a $25 Honeywell Foundation gift certificate, 2 tickets to the Eagles Theatre Live Entertainment Series, and a bag of various 75 Days of Gratitude give away items. The grand-prize contest was just one of the many celebratory events that took place during the “75 Days of Gratitude” in recognition of the Honeywell Foundation’s 75th Anniversary. Weekly drawings also took place (each streamed live on Facebook during the Cody and Kelly Show) with prizes that featured each of the Honeywell Foundation’s venues. Main prizes included: season passes to the 13-24 Drive In; a specialty dinner for four at the Honeywell House; movie passes and a concessions gift card at the Eagles Theatre; a family membership for the Dr. James Ford Historic Home; a specialty dinner for four to Eugenia’s Restaurant, a bird-lover’s basket from Charley Creek Gardens and multiples of free tickets to various Ford Theater concerts at the Honeywell Center.

Additional surprise give-away prizes during the Honeywell Foundation’s 75 Days of Gratitude included: t-shirts; meet & greet passes; seat upgrades; Honeywell Foundation holiday ornaments; Ford Theater Parachute Drop with gift cards; and various other small tokens expressing gratitude.
