Hilda Maxine (Will) Dill, 85 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Markle passed away at 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her residence. Hilda was a 1950 graduate of Rock Creek High School. She was a homemaker. She loved QVC, IU Basketball, her coffee, working in the yard and was a diehard Cubs fan.
Hilda was born on February 3, 1932 in Huntington, the daughter of Guy L. and Edna (Fahl) Will.
She was united in marriage to Robert J. Dill on May 15, 1953 in Markle; he preceded her in death on June 29, 2001.
Survivors include two sons: Gregory (Kathy) Dill of Columbia City; James (Barbara) Dill of Fort Wayne; two daughters: Suzanne Dill of Fort Wayne; Linda Dill of Fort Wayne; three brothers: Terry (Mary) Will of Markle; John Will of Fort Wayne; Tom (Pam) Will of Markle; two sisters: Carolyn Bailey of Warren; Pat (Jerry) Duncan of Markle; eight grandchildren: Brian (Michelle) Dill of Huntington; Kari (Josh) Lahr of Huntington; Amanda McCormick of Fort Wayne; Amy (Joe) Hogue of Fort Wayne; Jeremy Dill of Texas; Tammy (Rick) Wirt of Huntington; Tim (Nicole) Bowers of Florida and Todd Bowers of Fort Wayne; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a grandson: Tracy Bowers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Markle Church of Christ, 455 E. Morse Street, Markle, Indiana with Rick Smalling officiating.
Interment will be at the Sparks Cemetery.
