Helen Alice Hamilton, 98, of Poneto, IN (Chester Twp. Wells Co) passed away at 8:50 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Christian Care in Bluffton, IN. Helen was born in Wells County on November 17, 1920 to John & Josephine (Mounsey) Musselman. She was a 1938 graduate of Liberty Center high school. Helen married Benjamin L. Hamilton on August 5, 1940 in Wells County; he passed away on January 3, 1996. Helen was a homemaker and member of the Keystone United Methodist Church.
She will be missed by her son, Benjamin J. (Sheena) Hamilton of Poneto, IN, daughter, Sharon (Fred) Simon of Albany, IN, grandchildren-Ben (Amanda) Hamilton, Courtney (Mike Poland) Hamilton, Casey Simon, Heather Simon, David (Angie) Thiery, Chad (Tracy) Thiery, Scott Thiery and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 4-7 PM. A service to celebrate Helen’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2 PM with Rev. Marlene Ellis officiating. Burial will take place in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier, IN.
