Guadalupe “Lupe” Koon left this world to be with the Angels on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the age of 86.
She was born on October 13, 1935 in Calipatria, California. She married Joseph Koon on May 17, 1957 and they both retired from the VA Hospital in Marion.
She was a creative, determined, and independent person who loved the outdoors. She loved walks, reading, yardwork and watching Andy Griffith. Lupe was a Mother, Grandma, GG, Sister, Aunt and Friend who will be missed.
She is survived by two sons, Andy (Terri) Koon and Alfred (Lori) Koon; two daughters, Donna Koon and Lisa (Scott) Blackburn; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a close nephew, Ron (Judy) McKinley.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. There will be no funeral service.
