Gordon Lowell Bolinger

Gordon Lowell Bolinger, 78, of Kokomo, Indiana, died 8:34 pm, Monday, July 26, 2021, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born September 17, 1942, in Kokomo, to Joseph and Viola (Aikens) Bolinger.

Gordon was a 1961 graduate of Wabash High School. He married Madeline Ball in Somerset, Indiana on August 24, 1963. Gordon was a retired heavy equipment operator, and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 103. He enjoyed NASCAR, model trains, and flight simulators.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline Bolinger of Kokomo, three children, Mark (Julie) Bolinger of Wabash, Indiana, Kathleen Bolinger of Kokomo, and Shannon Bolinger-Bennett of Palm Bay, Florida, six grandchildren, Nathaneal (Stephanie) Bolinger of Muncie, Indiana, Caleb (Jasmine) Bolinger of Wabash, Elaine (Preston) Murrell of Charlotte, North Carolina, Marissa Bolinger of Kokomo, Casey (Greg Waits) Bennett of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Alexis Bennett of Palm Bay, and two great-grandchildren, Adelaide Bolinger of Munice, and Violet Bolinger of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Larry Ken Bolinger.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 30, 2021, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Friends may call 3-7 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
