Gloria V. Wilson, 95, La Fontaine, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on December 7, 1927, to George and Susan (Pinter) Lup. She married Ermal Wilson on January 1, 1968 and he preceded her on April 28, 2014.
Gloria graduated from Trenton High School in Trenton New Jersey. She then furthered her education at God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Gloria worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for The Pilgrim Holiness Headquarters in Indianapolis for several years. Gloria was a member of Westview Wesleyan Church. She loved her family, crocheting, and knitting.
Survivors include her two sisters, Viola Faughnan and Carrie Ward; children, Paul David Wilson, Evangeline Marie Linder, and Victor Wilson; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Lup and John Lup; and two sisters, Betty Clough, and Virginia Griswold.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Westview Wesleyan Church, 1300 W. 6th St., Jonesboro, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Gloria’s life will begin at 11:00 am with Reverends Paul Wilson and Victor Wilson officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery-Frankfort.
