Gloria M. Carreon, 75, of Marion, passed away at 12:32 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in her home. She was born in Chicago on October 12, 1946, to Octavio and Consuelo (Franco) Trevino. On June 1, 1970, she married Ventura Carreon, and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2021.
Gloria cherished her family above all as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She liked watching birds and always kept her bird feeders full. She also enjoyed growing flowers.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Richard) Gramarossa of Michigan City; son, Antonio Carreon of Marion; grandsons, Nicholas Gramarossa, Vinnie Ray Noe, and Antonio Carreon; granddaughters, Alexandrea Gramarossa and Gabrielle Carreon; brothers, Rick and Cef; sisters, Connie and Frances; and several extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Octavio Trevino; mother, Consuelo Trevino; husband, Ventura Carreon; and brother, Octavio.
A memorial visitation for Gloria will take place from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of memorial visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Gloria’s life will begin at 6:00 pm with Father Ted Rothrock officiating.
