Gladys May Marker

Gladys May Marker, 91, of Nappanee, Indiana, formerly of Warsaw, Indiana, died at 12:30 am, Sunday, February 14, 2021 at North Woods Village in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born May 1, 1929 in Liberty Mills, Indiana, to Vernon L. and Bertha (Brown) Enyeart.

Gladys first married Harold Jackson Heeter on January 15, 1944; he preceded her in death. She then married Frank Marker; he died November 6, 2012. She worked at Heckman Bindery, Essex Wire, and Othy in Warsaw. She was a member of the Liberty Mills Methodist Church. In her younger years, Gladys enjoyed playing ball, roller skating, swimming, and dancing.

She is survived by three children, Susan (Alan) Borneman of Fishers, Indiana, Stephen J. (Carol) Heeter of Nappanee, Indiana, and Jackie Lee Heeter of North Webster, Indiana, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and her sister, Eva Marie Pratt of Laketon, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia. Friends may call 12:30-2:00 pm Sunday, at the funeral home.
