Genova Jennings, 86, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 2:05 pm, Monday, January 30, 2023, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on September 5, 1936, in Wayland, Kentucky, to John S. and Virgie (Phipps) Dials.
Genova married Kenneth Lee Garrard, Sr. on February 14, 1959; he died May 26, 1978. She then married Joseph Jennings and he died July 9, 1981. She was a homemaker. Genoa enjoyed playing the piano, and played in churches. She also enjoyed reading and especially loved her kids and grandkids.
She is survived by four children, James Darold (Barbara A,) Garrard of Roann, Indiana, Kenneth “Lee” (Dawn) Garrard of Pierceton, Indiana, Bradley (Arlana) Garrard of Wakarusa, Indiana, and Trudy Baker of Lafayette, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brandy Garrard of Wabash, Kristin (Jesse) Martinez of Claypool, Indiana, Tyler (Hayley Ferguson) Garrard of Wabash, Dylan Miller of Pierceton, and Amanda Richards of Mentone, Indiana; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Sarah Hartley of Huntington, Indiana; and her brother, Mark Dials of Warsaw, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Justin Garrard, five brothers, and five sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, February 3, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Linzey Johns officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 am Friday, at the funeral home.
