Former Bunker Hill Clerk-Treasurer Voluntarily Arrived and Booked at Miami County Jail

BUNKER HILL, Ind. – Former Bunker Hill Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Wilson voluntarily arrived at the Miami County Jail on Wednesday and was booked on one count each of official misconduct and theft, according to jail staff. Superior Court Judge Daniel C. Banina signed a warrant for her arrest and set bond in the amount of $10,000 or 10 percent cash, according to Miami County Court records. Wilson arrived at the jail at about 5 p.m., was processed and bonded out about a half hour later, staff said. Following a lengthy investigation, the Indiana State Board of Accounts requested Wilson pay Bunker Hill and the state a total of $73,424.07 for everything from alleged personal online and home improvement store purchases to utility payments. The 16 page State Board of Account report, which was forwarded to the Indiana Attorney General’s Office and the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office, alleges “noncompliant” spending between Jan. 1, 2014 and Dec. 31, 2015. Both charges are Class D Felonies, according to court records.
