Floyd Keith Lewis

Floyd Keith Lewis, 92, of Mexico, passed away at 8:03 p.m. Thursday, March 15th 2018 at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru.  He was born August 16, 1925 in Wabash, Indiana to Floyd K. and Florence C. (Crouder) Lewis.  He married Mildred M. Johnson on October 3, 1947 in Peru and she survives.

 

Keith retired from C&O Railroad with 30 years service in 1985.  He also worked as a painter with his brother.   He was a member of the Peru V.F.W. and enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, playing pinochle and time spent with his family.   Keith served his country during World War II in the Navy.

 

Keith was one of 12 children.  His surviving family include his wife, Mildred Lewis formerly of Mexico; his children, Dianna (Bob) Ferguson, Roann, IN; Kathy Lewis, Peru, IN; Candy (Jeff) Fisher, Peru, IN; and Kelly (Kelly) Lewis, Peru, IN.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren 11 great great grandchildren and two siblings, Alden Lewis and Annette Minns of Peru, IN.   He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, James Keith Lewis, 1 granddaughter and 9 siblings.

 

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20th at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street, Peru, IN.  Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday also at Riverview Funeral Home in Peru.  Burial will follow services at Mexico Cemetery with military honors graveside.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home.
