Eric David Mikesell, 51, fell into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at his home. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Carolyn (Catron) Mikesell and the late David Lee Mikesell.
After graduating from Eastbrook High School, Eric became a union millwright and worked for various contractors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to music of all types, watching old sitcoms, and watching people’s reactions to his long beard.
Eric is survived by his son, Preston (Natsumi) Mikesell; two granddaughters, Hana and Erika Mikesell; mother, Carolyn Mikesell; brother, Christopher (Jeanine) Mikesell; two nephews, Jarred (Abbey) Mikesell and Evan Mikesell; great-nephew, Chase Mikesell; uncle, Otis Catron; and many cousins.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a celebration of life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. James McDowell officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
