Ella Irene Cook, 74, Silver Lake, IN passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born October 10, 1943 in Brookville, Montgomery County, OH to Henry & Nannie (Huffman) Graybill. On July 6, 1968 she married Melvin Cook. He passed away March 17, 2012. Ella was a homemaker and had previously worked at Manchester University, North Manchester, IN and National Trail School, New Paris, OH as a cook. She was a member of Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Silver Lake, IN. She is survived by daughters, Michaela (Arlen) Bower, Keota, IA, Dorinda (Jesse) Bowman, Rocky Mount, VA and Jenny (Randy) Moore, Silver Lake, IN; sisters, Martha (John) Frances, Greenville, OH and Lois (Roger) VanAusdal, Hillsboro, OH; foster sister, Margaret “Ann” Earnest, Kettering, OH and 19 grandchildren. Two brothers, Carl & Charles Graybill, and three sisters, Shirley Wrightsman, Alice Huffman and Olive Tatum, are deceased. Services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, three miles south of Eldorado, OH on State Route 726. Home Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, Eldorado, OH.
