Dr. Marvin D. Dziabis, M.D.

Dr. Marvin D. Dziabis, M.D., a beloved member of the North Manchester, Indiana community, passed away at his home of over 50 years on February 20, 2024. Born in Rensselaer, Indiana, on October 27, 1934, Marvin was the son of Peter Paul Dziabis and Myrtle Blanch (Blanchette) Dziabis.

Marvin was a dedicated Anatomical and Clinical Pathologist, known for his exceptional work and commitment to his profession. He began his education at the age of 17 when he attended Loyola University in Chicago, IL for pre-medical studies. He continued his education at Indiana University, obtaining B.A., M.S., and M.D. degrees. After completing his education, Marvin served an Internship at Marion County Hospital in Indianapolis, followed by a Residency in Anatomy and Clinical Pathology at Indianapolis Methodist Hospital.

Marvin’s career spanned many years, during which he served as a Pathologist for Wabash County Hospital, Dukes Memorial Hospital and Rochester Hospital. He also worked as a Pathologist for various County Coroners. His expertise and dedication to his work touched many lives in the community.

As a deeply integrated member of the community, Dr. Dziabis was devoted to bringing healing and compassion to all he encountered. He founded and operated the Health Restoration Clinic, a local alternative medicine center, for nearly 25 years where he touched countless lives with his care and expertise.

On June 28, 1958, Marvin married the love of his life, Jeanette M. Pickett, who preceded him in death on August 27, 2018. Together, they raised a beautiful family and created a loving home. He also held summer residence on Mackinac Island, MI where he spent much of his time among family and friends. Marvin is survived by his sons Steven P. Dziabis, M.D., David M. Dziabis, Stanley E. (Jennifer) Dziabis, Gary A. (Patricia) Dziabis, and his daughter Lisa M. (Michel) Dziabis Calache. He had eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn Kay Gibson and Carolyn Mae Carraher. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter-in-law Kimberly Dziabis.

Marvin was a devout member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in North Manchester, where he celebrated his faith with his community. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a rosary service to follow at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with calling beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 1203 State Road 114, North Manchester. Marvin will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery in North Manchester.

Marvin’s legacy of compassion, dedication, and love will forever be cherished and remembered. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Edelweiss House, 592 N CR 650 East, Greensburg, Indiana 47240.
