Dorothy D. Lauer, 101, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage of Huntington.
Mrs. Lauer was born on December 13, 1915, in Auburn, IN, to the late Chester D. and Ethel (Meyers) Davis. Her marriage was to Hubert A. Lauer on April 19, 1940. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2009.
Mrs. Lauer was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
Surviving is a niece, JoEllen (Dennis) Guerts; OK; one nephew, Rick Davis, Fort Wayne, IN; and longtime friends and neighbors, Marvin and Phyllis Hall, Huntington, IN.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester D. Davis, Jr., Dale Davis; and two sisters, Meredith Owens and Virginia Irving.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St, Huntington, IN.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at The Heritage of Huntington, 1180W – 500N, Huntington, with Rev. Bill Rapp officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
