Dorothy A. Edgington, age 80 of Swayzee passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Community North Hospital Heart and Vascular Unit in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dorothy was born on March 1, 1941 in Plainwell, Michigan to the late Fred and Ethel (Smith) Dill. She married the love of her life, Max Edgington on October 20, 1957, and he survives.
Dorothy worked at Wal-Mart for 21 years. She was a stay at home mother when her children were young. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed growing flowers, and also loved to sew in her early days. Dorothy loved animals and went to the Humane Society’s Auction every year. She was a member of Herbst United Methodist Church in Marion.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Max Edgington of Swayzee; a son, Brady (Tammy) Edgington of Swayzee; a daughter, Vicki (Scott) Winger of Sweetser; two brothers, Fred (Wanda) Dill and Richard (Linda) Dill, both of Marion; a sister, Barbara (Charles) Edgington of Swayzee; and four grandchildren, Trevin Butler, Tahler Butler, Rachel Winger and Brandon Edgington.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Randall Edgington and Curtis Jay Edgington,
Friends and family may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Moore officiating. Committal services will be private.
