Doris K. Lucas, age 100, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Colonial Oaks Health Care in Marion.
Doris was born on November 15, 1922, in Rushville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Dickson) Kinder. She married William H. Lucas in 1944, and he preceded her in death. Doris worked as a secretary for Indianapolis Life and for Mayor Tony Maidenberg in Marion.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Marion; the Lyric Club, and the book club at the Senior Center. She was also a very involved volunteer at the Hostess House in Marion. Doris loved music, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn (Jerry) Wilson; two sons, Brett Lucas and Aaron Lucas; a brother, James Kinder; a sister, Janet Schaefer; 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Doris was also preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Russell and Dale Kinder; and a sister, Stella McNaughton.

Arrangements are entrusted to Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023, at the Garden House at Matter Park, N. River Road and N. Quarry Road, Marion, Indiana. Followed by a time to visit and share memories with family.
