Donald L. “Duck” Sloan, 59, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:20 pm, Friday, January 18, 2019 at his son’s home in Peru, Indiana. He was born February 28, 1959 in Wabash, to Charles and Chadgel (Prater) Sloan.
Duck worked for Manchester Metals 30 years. He enjoyed dirt track racing and watching WWE wrestling.
He is survived by four children, Sara Sloan, Donnie Sloan, and Shily Sloan, all of Peru, and Kylee Gidley of Wabash, and five grandchildren, Ryleigh Marburger, Sianna Brooks, Alia Connor, and Ryker Sloan, all of Peru, and Olivia Gidley of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronnie Slone, and his grandson, Dax Connor.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, January 29, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
