Donald A. Jacks, age 85, of Marion passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 17, 2022.
Donald was born on June 7, 1937 in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Floyd Jacks and Jane (Bruning) Abshire.
Donald worked at Curran Roofing and retired from Dana Corporation. He enjoyed going fishing, and collecting arrowheads. He loved his dog, Sparky. Donald was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Marion.
He is survived by a son, Gary Belcher of Marion; step-daughters, Christy Tait and Sherry Martin, both of Marion; a sister, Bonnie (Truman) Stevens of Marion; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Carol Jacks on December 10, 2010; brothers, Jimmy, Bobby, Phillip, Tom and Melvin; and two sisters, Mary Rose and Billie Sarll.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Hon officiating.
Burial will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
