Donald A. Eldridge, 80, Jonesboro, passed away at 12:35 am on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on Sunday, January 18, 1942, to Berl and Lillian (Manley) Eldridge, Sr. On October 1, 1999, he married Nancy Tilden, and she survives.
Donald graduated from Marion High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked at Southworth Ford, as well as Grice Ford Lincoln Mercury and several other Ford dealerships in the area where he was an auto mechanic. Donald loved his cats and enjoyed watching Andy Griffith. One of his favorite eating places was KFC.
In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his son, Kevin (Theresa Jones) Tilden of Marion, and his sister, Patricia Ball of Marion.
He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Barbara Eldridge; and brother, Berl Eldridge, Jr.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Following the time of visitation, a graveside service to celebrate Donald’s life will begin at 12:30 pm at Gardens of Memory with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating.
