Denise (Powell) Williams, age 68 of Marion passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 In Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Denise was born on February 28, 1953 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Homer and Phyllis (Martin) Powell. She was a 1971 graduate of Marion High School.
Denise married Larry Williams on June 10, 1972 and he survives. She was a secretary at United Marketing Inc. for 16 years, and was co-owner of Kar Klinic Repair Shop. She was a member of the NSRA and the Rod Masters Car Club. Denise was the proud owner of a 1935 Pink Three-Window Ford Coupe. She was a loving, caring person and never knew a stranger.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Williams of Marion; sons Ryan L. Williams and A.J. (Pam) Williams, both of Marion; a daughter, Sherri Lynn Williams of Marion; a sister, Sammie (Bob) Kramer of Marion; sisters-in-law, Linda Masters and Debbie Powell; 7 grandchildren, Hayley Monts, Domanik Williams, Dahlia Williams, Mackenzie Williams, Anna Williams, and Richard and Alex Edwards; special nieces, Suzan, Janet, Jodi and Tess; nephews, Jeff and Ty; and many cousins and car show friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry; a granddaughter, Josephine and mother-in-law, Thelma Williams.
Visitation will be held for family and friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Additional visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the funeral home prior to the funeral. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Bill Sparks and Pastor Ron Hon officiating. Burial will immediately follow services in Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
