Delores D. Purvis, 83, Marion, passed away at 8:05 a.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Community Hospital in Anderson. She was born in Owingsville, Kentucky, on August 23, 1934, to John and Lillian M. (Fleming) Riddle. She, however, lived most of her life in Marion, where she raised her family and retired from the VA Hospital.
Delores was a quiet lady with a big heart who always wanted to give more to her family than she wanted to get for herself. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and cherished her.
In keeping with her quiet lifestyle, Delores has chosen to forego a service and, instead, will have a private cremation. Please keep her in your thoughts today.
Surviving are three children, Paula (Terry) Sollars, Anderson, Sam Purvis, Marion, and Tammy Darnell, Anderson; eight grandchildren and their spouses; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tony Riddle and Phillip Riddle, both from Owingsville, Kentucky; and special friend throughout the years, Joanne Ford, who was the sister she never had.
