Delona L. (Jennings) Rich-Bragg

Delona L. (Jennings) Rich-Bragg, 68, Marion, passed away at 8:38 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Marion General Hospital.  A lifelong resident of Marion, she was born on August 21, 1949, to Charlie and Betty (Bird) Jennings.  On October 30, 2003, Delona married William S. Bragg, and he preceded her in death in July of 2004.

Delona was a 1967 graduate of Marion High School.  She was a hair stylist for many years working at Bellamy’s and Deloris hairdressers.  She also worked at SCM, RCA, and General Tire before getting an LPN degree at Marion Community School of Nursing in 2002.  Delona then started working at the Marion VA.

Delona enjoyed painting, cutting hair, and gardening.  Each fall, she always looked forward to going with Tom Sutton and Doris Spears to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where they fished, camped, and rode four-wheelers.  She also loved motorcycle touring out west with Tom.  More than anything, though, Delona loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she will be missed by many.

Survivors include her father, Charlie Jennings; long-time companion, Tommy Sutton, Marion; children, Jamie (Andy) Bowman, Marion, Steve Bragg, Marion, Stan (Sonya) Bragg, Marion, Kurt (Chrissy) Sutton, Marion, Heath (Threse) Sutton, Marion, Josh (Brook) Sutton, Largo, Florida, and Brianne Sutton, Marion; grandchildren, Zachary (Alissa), Patrick (Tiffany), Rhyan, Mitch (Kitt), Aaron, Channing, Tristan, Kortney, Chance, Trey, and several more; great-grandchildren, Makinley, Isah, Lilly, Hailey, and Kiley; and sister, Janet (Brad) Steusloff, Wisconsin.

Also preceding her in death was her mother, Betty (Bird) Jennings.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Delona’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018, at the funeral home with Chaplain Mark Bardsley officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Etna Cemetery.

Following the service and burial, there will be a dinner at the American Legion Post 10, 1700 S. Pennsylvania St., Marion, IN.
