Debra “Debbie” S. Goodspeed, 68, Larwill, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion on June 27, 1949, to the late Howard and Betty (McCall) Sherbondy. On February 26, 1966, Debbie married Mike Goodspeed, and he survives.
Debbie graduated from Marion High School and was a big Marion basketball fan. She worked at Northern Gun & Tackle, where she was the secretary. When she was younger, Debbie loved to roller skate. She loved animals, especially Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and her Yorkie, and she enjoyed feeding the birds at the lake. Debbie also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing Bingo. She dearly loved her family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 52 years, Mike; son, Michael Goodspeed, Marion; daughter, Shelley (Adam) Robinson, Marion; grandchildren, Ashley Robinson, Angel Robinson, Amanda Goodspeed, Justice Goodspeed, and Shayla Goodspeed; and great-grandchildren, Trinity, Talon, and Brilynn.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, David Sherbondy; and sister-in-law, Della.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Debbie’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor Mark Fishburn will be officiating with burial following at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton, IN.
