DeAnn (Meyer) Rogers, 77, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 5:48 pm, Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on December 20, 1945, in Wabash, to Clinton F. and Ruby Nell (Lewis) Meyer.
DeAnn was a 1963 Northfield High School graduate. She married Mike Rogers at the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church in Urbana, Indiana, on February 9, 1964. DeAnn was the secretary at North Central CO-Op for 20 years, the Farm Bureau Credit Union for 3 years, and also worked with her husband Mike at R-MI-DE Woodshop for over 30 years. She loved playing piano and played in several churches through the years. She also enjoyed sewing and raising flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Rogers of Wabash; two sons, Rick (Shelby) Rogers of Wabash, and Ron (Holly) Rogers of McHenry, Illinois; son-in-law, Mark Spurrier of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; seven grandchildren, Cassie (Dan) Jones of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Wes (Kevin) Rogers of Fishers, Indiana, Ryan Rogers of Wrigleyville, Illinois, Graham Rogers and Paige Rogers, both of McHenry, Marissa Spurrier and Marlena Spurrier, both of Fair Oaks Ranch; and two great-grandchildren, Lily and Rosie Jones, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Larry (Nancy) Meyer of Wabash, and Mike (Donna Caudill) Meyer of Lincolnville, Indiana; and her sister, Judy Yoder of Warsaw, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Kathi Spurrier who died January of 2023.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Brad Wright officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3-7 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are Ronald McDonald House at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
