Deana Marie Jones, born on April 17, 1971, in Kokomo, Indiana, and a resident of Peru, Indiana, passed away on September 5, 2023 at age 52, surrounded by her loving family.
Deana was a strong and brave woman, beloved daughter and sister, devoted mother, and cherished friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.
Deana completed her education with a high school diploma, but her true journey of accomplishment began when she joined the Taco Bell family. She served as an Area Coach in her later years, where her unwavering dedication and leadership skills shone brightly through all she touched. Deana’s outstanding contributions were recognized with numerous accolades, including the Highest Report Card and lowest MM$ on multiple occasions. She also received distinguished awards such as the HR Partner Award, Manager of the Year, RGM of the Year, and Store of the Year. Her commitment to excellence was an inspiration to her colleagues and a testament to her remarkable work ethic.
Deana’s true passion, however, was found in nurturing and guiding those she supervised at Taco Bell. She took pride in developing and encouraging her team members, not just as employees but as individuals striving for personal and professional growth. Her mentorship and support left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to work alongside her.
Outside of her professional life, Deana had a passion for classic cars, particularly the James Dean Car shows, where she found joy in admiring the timeless beauty of these automobiles. Additionally, Deana relished basking in the sun and unwinding in the serenity of a secluded patio during tranquil evenings, allowing her to truly appreciate the beauty of nature.
A memorial service to celebrate Deana’s life will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 12:00pm – 7:00pm. Family and friends are invited to gather at 6165 E. 500 S. Peru, Indiana 46970 to pay their respects, share stories, and honor the memory of this remarkable woman.

Deana is survived by her parents, Chuck and Rose Berry, siblings Sindy Pries, Scott Berry, wife (Missy), Katie Berry, children Jack Delrymple wife (Megan), Jake Delrymple (Jess), Jeffery Delrymple, Joey Green (Amiah Lee), grandchildren Vaughn and Vance. Uncles, Aunts, cousins, many friends, and her dog lulu.
