Dawn April Lloyd, 47, Marion, passed away at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018. On March 17, 1971, her parents, Basil Davis and Ruth Ann (Small) Shoop welcomed her into the world in Muncie.
Dawn graduated from Marion High School in 1989. She married James Lloyd, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2008. Dawn worked at the service desk at Marion’s Wal-Mart. She loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. In her spare time, she could be found fishing and working her puzzle books. She especially enjoyed taking care of her dogs, Cooter, Roscoe, and Daisy.
She is survived by her sister, Tonia (Lee) Hobbs, Springport; partner, Nathan Davis; nephews, Nicholas Hobbs and Jacob Alex Dunbar; niece, Brittany (Brody) Hummer; grandmother, Rose Small; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding her in death was her mother; her big dog, Chance; paternal grandparents, Elmer Davis and Chloe Davis; and maternal grandparents, Ruth Hardacre and Hubert Small.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Services to celebrate Dawn’s life will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018. Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial following at Riverside Cemetery.
