David A. Holloway

David A. Holloway, 61, passed away in his home on Saturday, November 10, 2018. David was born on December 18, 1956, to Roy and Nancy Holloway, who survive in Marion. David graduated from Eastbrook High School in 1975 and then pursued further education from IUPUI, where he received his Associates Degree in engineering. He worked as a team lead at American Woodmark for 15 years. He married Deborah Boles on June 24, 1977, and she survives. David grew up attending Center Chapel United Methodist Church with his parents. David was a lover of music and could play many instruments including the piano, guitar, and banjo. He even made his own slide guitar. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, and getting “wind therapy” with Debbie on motorcycle rides. He was a generous man and would help anyone in their time of need. He had a hunger for learning and always kept learning new things. He loved to make people laugh, and his great sense of humor is what first made Debbie fall in love with him. David was a family man and spent many of his days and nights with his family playing games, singing around a campfire, and watching meteor showers.

David is survived by his wife, Debbie, Marion; two children, Jamie (Ken) Nunemaker, Muncie, and Daniel (Leah Couch) Holloway; three grandchildren, Maxine and Sean Holloway, and Emily Nunemaker; sister, Denise (John) Rumschlag, Indianapolis; brother, Mark (Kelli) Holloway, Indianapolis; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Boles, Marion, and Marlinda (Rick) Roderick, Montpelier; brother-in-law, Robert Boles, Marion; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his special aunt, Lucy Minnix.

Arrangements for David have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana 46989. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, 8733 E. 200 S., Marion, Indiana 46953, with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating.
