Danny L. Wilkinson, 71, passed from this earth and into the arms of our Savior early Easter Sunday morning, April 1, 2018. He was born on September 28, 1946 in Williamsport, Indiana to Lester and Margaret Wilkinson.
Danny was a member of Abundant Life Church in Wabash, Indiana. He was a truck driver for decades, and loved cars, trucks and motorcycles. Danny enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and always had a “project” he was working on.
Danny is survived by his fiancée, Mary Drew; sons Scott Wilkinson (Marcia), Todd Wilkinson; daughters Julie Michael (Jeff), and Cristy Rayl. He had 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also, sisters Sandy Imel (Gary) and Teresa Lyles (John); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Lester Wilkinson.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Jeff Porter from Abundant Life Church officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of a love offering at the funeral home, or to the American Heart Association.
