Daniel L. Wyant, 89, passed away at Colonial Oaks Nursing Home on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:45 am. He was comfortable and in constant contact with his children.
Dan was born on August 1, 1931 in Marion, Indiana to Mae (Wolfcale) Wyant and H. D. Wyant. He was a lifelong resident of Marion.
He was married to Mary Virginia “Gina” (Fowler) Wyant for over 60 years. They had four children. James Daniel (Peg), Marion, Indiana; David (Deborah), Wheeling, WV; Nancy A. Griffin (J.R.), Scottsdale, AZ; and Gregory (Diane), Alamogordo, NM; six loving grandchildren, David, Jr., Robert, Rachel, Kyle, Jacob and Luke and one great grandchild, Winston.
After his family, Dan’s life and love was cars. Anyone who knew Dan knows that he could talk about any motor vehicle and if given a chance would try to sell you one. He began in the car business when he was 16 and only recently ceased that activity. He had automobile businesses in Marion, Elwood, Wabash and Syracuse, Indiana. Dan’s other life joy was his lifelong presence at Lake Wawasee.
Dan’s final resting place will be at Estates of Serenity Cemetery in Marion.
