Daniel Eugene Selig

Daniel Eugene Selig, 65, of Huntington, Indiana, died 6:03 pm, Monday, July 12, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 15, 1955, in Huntington, to John Eugene and Phyllis Jean (Weiger) Selig.

Dan was a life long printer and journeyman, and worked at Courier in Kendalville, before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed skydiving, bungee jumping, hunting, especially coon and rabbit hunting and fishing. Dan was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting for ginseng and mushrooms, and especially loved spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by two daughters, Darcel (Josh Miller) Smart of Huntington, and Darbie (Matt) Stetzel of Warren, Indiana, five grandchildren, Korbin Harmon of Huntington, Cale Stetzel of Warren, Kolton Smart of Huntington, Kaleb Stetzel of Warren, and Kollins Miller of Huntington, sisters and brother, Julie (Dennis) Richardson of Huntington, Thomas (Tammie) Selig of Columbia City, Indiana, and Diane Shaw of LaFontaine, Indiana, nieces and nephews, Amanda (Adam) Stroup, Andrew Shaw, Tyler (Brandy) Richardson, Audra (Willie Rodriguez) Selig, Adam (Danielle) Shaw, Allison Helmuth, Mallorie (David) Malicki, Adrienne (Landon) Hoffman, and Aaron Shaw. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a Celebration of Dan’s life from 1-4 pm on July 24, 2021 at Darcel’s home, with Chaplain Forrest Tabor officiating. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
