Daniel E. Koehler, 60, of Berne, IN, passed away at 11:22 AM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IN. He was born on Friday, January 10, 1958, in New Albany, IN. He married Susan Gutshall in 1988 in Berne. Dan was a 1976 graduate of South Adams High School. He formerly worked for Shinler Electric, CTS, had his own company “Koehler Electric,” Eagle Tool & Die, Haps and the American Legion Post 468 in Berne. He was a member of the color guard team and the Sons of the American Legion at Post 468 for many years. Dan enjoyed hunting, photo finish racing, scratching his favorite lottery tickets (Wild Cherry) and especially spending time with his family and friends. He loved being a grandparent and was very active in attending his grandkids events.

He was preceded in death by his: Father – Albert Edwin Koehler and Mother – Joanne Gifford.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A service to celebrate Dan’s life will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Mark Hinshaw officiating.
