Dale Gordon Dietrich, 64, Marion, died at 6:45 p.m. on January 10, 2019. He was born in Chicago, IL, on March 27, 1954, and was the son of the late Fred and Helen (Purich) Dietrich.
He graduated from George Washington High School in Chicago and received his bachelor’s degree from Illinois University. Dale had such an outgoing personality, which proved invaluable in his career of retail. He truly loved working with people.
He enjoyed collecting coins and became a member of Coin Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, listening to the radio, and going to Marion Public Library. All who knew Dale will also remember his very generous and caring spirit. Additionally important was the fact that he didn’t like to eat sugar, but he sure loved to drink coffee anytime!
There were many special friends in Dale’s life who survive him, which include Sukhjinder Kaur “Bath” (Jatinder Kumar “Jazz”) Bath, Marion, Linda (Mo) Chesnut, Marion, Phil Harrell, Marion, Jeff Brooks, John, and children of special friends, Bavleen Kaur Seerha and Sahman Singh Seerha.
In accordance with Dale’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
