Clifford Hopkins

Clifford Hopkins, 82, Huntington, passed away in his home at 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.  He was born on May 13, 1936, in Fort Harrison, Indiana, to the late Virgil C. and Helen (Stewart) Hopkins.  He married Norma Trissin on December 12, 1992, and she survives.

Clifford was a graduate of Elwood High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree.  He was a carpenter/millwright and was always a hard worker throughout his life.  He enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle and being on the computer.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 26 years, Norma; children, Roma S. (Ron) Noffsinger, Shelbyville, Rona J. Gordon, Marion, Clifford A. Hopkins, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Randy L. Hopkins, Michael D. Hopkins, South Bend, Reginna L. (Troy) Curry, Huntington, and Angela K. Hopkins, LaFontaine; and 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.  A Masonic service will begin at 7:30 p.m..

A funeral service to celebrate Clifford’s life will be at 12 noon on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Church of God of Prophecy, 906 N. 10th St., Gas City, IN.  Additional visitation is one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.  Pastor David Morris will be officiating with entombment taking place at a later date in Gardens of Memory.
