C. Jean Timmons, 89, Marion, passed away at Marion Rehab and Assisted Living at 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on July 28, 1928, to the late George and Ethel (Cole) King. She married Arthur J. Timmons on March 8, 1947, and he preceded her in death on August 4, 1995.
Jean was a bookkeeper at Westside Lumber and was a homemaker from 1953 until her passing. She loved crafts, camping, cooking, crocheting, and watching Food Network. She dearly loved her family and was a member of Hillside Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn K. (John) Bragg, Winter Haven, Florida, Chester “Chet” Timmons, Marion, and Nancy (Marv) Harmon, Marion; grandchildren, Rex Timmons, Brian Timmons, Doug Timmons, Anita Powell, Jeff Bragg, Amy Langhorne, Angie Bragg, Derek Timmons, Holly Schroder, Denise Konig, and Colton Harmon; 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way; and daughter-in-law, Chris Timmons, Marion.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a son, Keith Timmons.
The family will receive visitors from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Jean’s funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, June 4, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
