Cheryl Joan Goodpaster, 76, of Lagro, Indiana, died at 3:43 am, Sunday, March 19, 2023, at her home. She was born on February 10, 1947, in Wabash, Indiana, to William Eugene “Max” and Annabelle (Manning) Roberts.
Cheryl was a graduate of Northfield High School. She married Charles “Cabbage” Goodpaster in Lagro on December 27, 1975. She worked at Dana in Andrews, retiring after 10 years. Cheryl was a member of the Lagro American Legion Auxiliary Post 248. She enjoyed her cats, reading, going shopping, and spoiling her nieces and nephew.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Cabbage” Goodpaster; three children, Greg (Amanda) Goodpaster, Charles “Mike” Goodpaster, and Debra Sizemore, all of Lagro; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sister, Karen Specht of Winter Haven, Florida; brother, Lane Roberts of Wabash; two sisters-in-law, Vickie Roberts of Texas, and Rosemary Roberts of Huntington, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William Dale Roberts, Gregory Roberts, and Lance Roberts.
Per Cheryl’s request there will be no services. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
