Charles E. McClurg, age 77, of Fort Wayne (formerly Huntington) passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 7:45 pm at Canterbury Nursing Center. He worked at ITT Optical Aerospace. He loved camping, flying model airplanes and fishing.
Charles was born on November 1, 1941, the son of Rexford and Florentine (King) McClurg. On December 30, 1994 he married Leetta Souder in Greentown, IN and she survives along with a son Brian (Carliene) McClurg of Fort Wayne, a daughter Teresa (Brandon) Johnson of Hartford City, a sister Cynthia Mygrant, a step-son Benjamin Hamilton, two step-daughters Neva Stouder and Cammi Hamilton, 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents a son Rex, and a sister Carol Wolfe.
Visitation will be Wednesday Nov. 14, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm with a Memorial Service at 7 pm following the visitation.
