Charges Pending on Wabash County Hunters

WABASH COUNTY – After witnessing several subjects hunting illegally Saturday, a concerned hunter called ICO dispatch with details of the crime. ICO’s responded to S. Wabash county. After searching the area, three suspects were located. After a lot of leg work, evidence of the crime was discovered. A confession soon followed.

 

The suspects got an early start to the deer firearms season and killed a buck with a shotgun after attempting to make it look like it was shot with a crossbow. They then cut up the deer and left their trash behind. The venison was put in backpacks and hiked out.

Two more suspects with firearms were hiding and eventually came out carrying firearms and more backpacks with venison. A variety of charges are pending. Thanks go out to the Wabash Co. Sheriff’s Dept. for assisting.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
