NORTH MANCHESTER – The North Manchester Chamber of Commerce Development Committee is pleased to announce that registrations are now being accepted for the 2017 Marketing Basics workshop being held on Tuesday, September 26 at the North Manchester Public Library. The workshop, sponsored by First Financial Bank, will explain the four key components of an effective marketing strategy.
The Chamber will offer the marketing workshop at two different times in order to accommodate schedules. Both sessions offer the same content, and those interested may choose between the 8:00 a.m. – 10: a.m. workshop or the 4:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. workshop.
“First Financial Bank focuses on advancing the goals of individuals and businesses in North Manchester and throughout Wabash County,” said Kyle Lunford, Banking Center Manager for First Financial Bank. “Supporting business development programs strengthens the financial health of a community and we are pleased to be the presenting sponsor of the Marketing Basics workshop.”
The workshop will cover four building blocks of marketing, each presented by a different Wabash County marketing professional. Topics include Social Media presented by Amy Acree of North Manchester Public Library, Media Relations presented by Sue Roesner of Parkview Wabash Hospital, Brand Messaging presented by Hayley Beauchamp of Honeywell Foundation, and Data Driven Decisions presented by Christine Flohr of Visit Wabash County. Each presentation will last twenty minutes with a break in between each session, hosted by the North Manchester Public Library.
“The most recent member survey indicated the need to offer marketing workshops,” said Debra Pyrah, executive director of the organization, “The Business Development Committee has responded to the request with an outstanding opportunity for our business community.”
In addition to the workshop, attendees will receive a free follow-up, one-to-one consultation with a marketing professional. “Taking the information learned in a workshop such as this and effectively applying it to your business can be challenging,” said Christine Flohr, one of the workshop presenters and the Business Development Committee Chair for the Chamber, “The follow-up consultation is critical to leveraging the workshop’s impact.”
The registration fee for Chamber members is $15 per person and $25 per person for non-chamber members. Registrations are being accepted by Visit Wabash County on behalf of the Chamber and can be made by calling 260-563-7171.
