Catherine Mae (Roberts) Boggs, 60, Converse, passed away in her home surrounded by her family at 5:26 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017. She was born in Bluffton to Richard and Marnell (Heiney) Roberts. Catherine married William Boggs on April 5, 1975, and he survives.

Catherine was a graduate of Blackford High School and attended California College. For the past 26 years, she worked at Marion General Hospital as a respiratory therapist. She was a member of Gospel Light Mission.

She loved going out to eat with her friends. Catherine and William enjoyed traveling to Michigan, Missouri, and Kentucky. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Catherine loved and adored her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, William; her mother, Marnell Roberts; children, John (Shauna) Boggs, Cassville, and Shelly (Tyler) Vincent, Greentown; grandchildren, Mason Vincent, Taylor, Emily, and Ethan Brandt; sisters, Carla (Ray) Cox, Redkey, and Karen (Mike) Bartlett, Pennville; brothers, Rick (Lynn) Roberts, Pennville, Ron (Janet) Roberts, Marion, and Roger (Brenda) Roberts, Portland; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Roberts; daughter, Cayla Boggs; grandson, Marcus Brandt; and brother, Kevin Roberts.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Catherine’s life will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017, with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Converse Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bendaly, Cancer Services of Grant County, hospice nurses, and granddaughter, Emily Brandt, for the excellent and loving care they gave to Catherine during her illness. Also, thanks to Catherine’s close friends for all of their support.
