Carolyn Rose Hill, 86, of Wabash, Indiana, died 6:20 am, Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Wellbrooke of Wabash. She was born September 21, 1934 in Wabash, to James Clarence and Gladys (Kendall) Sheperd.
Carolyn was a 1952 graduate of Chippewa High School. She married Ralph S. Hill in Wise, Virginia on July 5, 1978; he died March 21, 2019. She worked at United Technologies in Wabash. Carolyn was a member of the Christian Heritage Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, flower gardening, collecting dolls, traveling, especially to her daughter Becky’s house in Iowa, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by seven children, Timothy (Carla) Reiken of Illinois, Angela Hall of Wabash, Becky (Jim) Albro of Waterloo, Iowa, John (Valorie) Hill of Wabash, James (Stacy) Hill of Deedsville, Indiana, Cindy (Glenn) Miller of Wabash, and Joyce (Brian) Hicks of London, Kentucky, 23 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Rusty Reiken, daughter, Tammy Blackburn, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-8 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Christian Heritage Church.
